The town of Delmar is one of the best places to raise your children. In August of 2015, Bethlehem Central High School ranked as one of the Top 500 high schools in the nation by Newsweek, coming in at #247. According to Business First, Bethlehem Central High School ranked in the top ten schools in all of upstate New York. On a local level, Bethlehem Central High School has ranked first among schools in the Albany area by Business First for six consecutive school years. Students from the Delmar area are also enriched by several unique programs. These locally developed courses include such topics as digital electronics, science research, and ecology and field biology. Second language instruction begins in grade 6, which allows students from the Delmar area to start early and learn more. Accelerated math courses are also available to students from middle school on. Students from the Delmar area compete within the local Suburban Council. Most recently, the Bethlehem Central High School Boys Basketball team advanced all the way the section finals!
